Palacio Formalizes Growth with South Atlantic Region Designation

ATLANTA, GA — February 23, 2026 - Palacio Collaborative has officially renamed its Carolinas Region to the South Atlantic Region, reflecting the firm’s continued growth and long-standing client relationships across South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. 

The South Atlantic Region designation underscores Palacio’s commitment to long-term partnerships, regional expertise, and scalable cost management. Led by Co-Directors Kaye A. Smith and Marvin T. Coker, the South Atlantic Region formalizes a footprint that has steadily expanded beyond the Carolinas in response to client needs and project opportunities in neighboring states.

“For more than seven years we’ve been expanding our regional reach beyond the Carolinas. This name change recognizes what our clients have already experienced,” said Smith. “We’ve completed more than 1,100 projects within this region while deepening relationships with architects and project owners along the way.”

Coker emphasized the strategic alignment behind the change.  “Aligning our regional approach with this reality allows us to serve our partners even more intentionally as this market continues to grow.” 

This new designation positions Palacio to continue building strong partnerships and leveraging regional knowledge to deliver high-value cost management across Higher Education, K-12, Healthcare, Government, and more.
