COST MANAGEMENT
Cost Management is a highly effective process that provides cost control, ensures that the Owner’s interests are represented throughout the design process, and allows the project to be delivered within the budget. Working closely with the Owner and Design Team, Palacio Collaborative has added as much as 20% to the value of the project (or conversely, kept the project scope/quality from being needlessly reduced by 20%).

Working in a highly collaborative way with the entire design team and applying our experience and expertise, we can help to keep the project on a successful path throughout the design process. We will work with client stakeholders during programming to develop estimated costs and budgets that reflect their goals for the project. We will then select the appropriate solutions based on a thorough understanding of the stated criteria and budget, continuously identify solutions which afford the greatest long-term value and whose first costs are affordable, integrate cost effective sustainable design strategies and utilize our benchmarking data on each project type. Our adherence and dedication to budgets have consistently resulted in projects which exceed client expectations.

Represents the Owner during Contractor Estimate Review and Reconciliation.

Provides alternative pricing and leads the Value Engineering effort to minimize loss of scope and quality and redesign.

Provides change order pricing that aids in reducing schedule slips and makes sure of the Owner.

Provides an objective presence as the Cost Manager during the design process to make sure the project reaches optimal value to the Owner. This allows the Owner to maintain control of the scope, quality and cost of the project.
