When it comes to construction in Texas—especially at the University of Texas flagship campus in Austin—local knowledge isn’t just a “nice to have,” it’s essential.
Since 2020, we have provided Cost Management services for dozens of task orders as a member of the BSA LifeStructures team which provides professional services directly for the University of Texas at Austin.
From research lab renovations to accessibility upgrades, we have helped make UT Austin’s dollars count as they deliver high-performance spaces for advanced research and learning.
Our Cost Management services supported:
The Integrative Biology Pat Zamudio Lab renovation within the Center for Biodiversity, which transformed existing wet lab and office space into new offices and student spaces.
The Molecular Biosciences Building renovation involved the creation of an open-concept modular lab environment with dedicated tissue culture and microscopy areas.
The Hang Ren Lab renovation in the Faulkner Nanoscience and Technology building integrated three existing lab rooms into one laboratory.
In Welch Hall, the Edoardo Baldini Lab renovation required a soundproof mechanical room.
In addition to local construction considerations, our UT Austin experience reflects an understanding of the technical complexities of research environments and public university capital improvement programs.
