Cost Modeling/Budget Verification
Establishing a reconciled budget and scope is a critical first step in drastically increasing the chances for project success. Cost modeling is an accurate and effective conceptual estimating method that helps to determine if the scope and budget are reconciled, and if not, what measures may be taken to create this balance. This service is designed to ensure that projects of any size, type or complexity start on the right track.

Cost Management
Cost Management services include Design Phase Estimating, Value Engineering, Cost Studies, and Contractor Estimate Reconciliation. These services ensure budget and schedule compliance throughout project design.

Value Management/Owner’s Representation
Value Management is designed to help the Owner maintain control of the budget and scope of the project in the CM-at-risk delivery method. This approach ensures that the Owner’s interests are represented. The Value Manager works directly for the Owner (or Program Manager) and manages the estimate reconciliation process between the architect’s cost consultant and the CM-at-risk. The Owner receives the most building for the budget. It is anticipated that this service will add +/-5% to the value of the project (or conversely, stop the project scope from being needlessly reduced by +/-5%).

Value Analysis Workshop
This service is to help the project team arrive at the most value-conscious design possible. After the schematic design phase the project team meets for a one-day session headed by the Value Manager to review the project design and develop a list of value-added options. Those that are deemed to be the most promising are priced by the Value Manager and a report is submitted to the Owner for review. Chosen options are then incorporated into the overall design.
